Overwhelming response to The Banerji Protocol of

treatment of brain tumor

November 20, 2006 : The abstract entitled “Recurrence of Brain Tumors may be prevented with Ruta and Calcarea Phosphorica” by Drs. Prasanta Banerji and Pratip Banerji generated overwhelming response at the Eleventh Scientific Meeting of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, November 16-19, 2006, in Orlando, Florida.

The Society for Neuro-Oncology, Florida, invited Drs. Banerji of PBH Research Foundation, Kolkata, for a poster presentation on The Banerji Protocol of treatment of brain tumor with Ruta and Calcarea Phosphorica.

Ruta has always been there in homeopathic medicine. The Drs. Banerji of PBH Research Foundation (PBHRF), Kolkata, developed the use of Ruta 6 combinations to treat brain tumor. The Banerji protocol of treatment has attracted global attention ever since they presented 16 brain tumor regression cases and cure with homeopathic medicine, in The 5th International Conference of Anti Cancer Research, Corfu, Greece, in the year 1995.

How Ruta and Calcarea Phosphorica work – Rutin, the active ingredient of Ruta, is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities and also for reducing oxidative damage in a rodent model. In addition, Ruta is also known to protect from DNA strand breaks and to prevent mutagenesis. Calcium phosphate activates phospholipase, which cleaves phosphalidylinositol biphosphate, a membrane-bound molecule that activates the protein kinase C.

An online forum has also been started by a gentleman named Mr. Alex Fidelibus, an US citizen, to raise awareness about Ruta 6 and the Banerji protocol of treatment. Mr. Fidelibus, whose mother is suffering from brain tumor, heard about Banerji protocol of treatment using homeopathic medicines and started to communicate with Drs. P Banerji. Also through another forum he came to know that many people were taking Ruta in an unregulated manner in US. This has happened following the publication of a scientific paper in the International Journal of Oncology. This paper was published after a collaborative research project between PB Homeopathic Research Foundation & The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where it was found that the medicine, Ruta 6 with Calcarea Phosphorica 3X, selectively kills brain tumor cells while increasing the normal blood cells.

According to the forum, Ruta is giving 85% success rate in the treatment of brain tumor. This forum has over 400 patients enrolled. The quality of life is excellent and can be said as near normal.
